What are the tennis court rules?

Notice posted for the information of all persons using this facility:

  • Norman Downes Homes Association is not responsible for accidents or injuries on the courts.
  • All persons using this facility do so at their own risk.

Tennis court rules:

  • Court hours are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Guests must be accompanied on the court by a resident.
  • Play is limited to 1 hour for singles play and 1 ½ hours for doubles play when other players are
  • Only tennis shoes are allowed on the court – no black soled shoes.
  • Courts are for tennis use only – no skateboards, rollerblades, or bicycles.
  • No food or glass containers allowed in the court area.
  • No pets are allowed in the court area.
  • A player may not hold a court vacant while waiting for others.
  • Courts may be reserved for team practice and play with prior approval of the HOA Board of Directors.
  • All teams must have at least one Norman Downes resident as a member who will be responsible to collect an out- of-neighborhood playing fee prior to the season opening or booking practice sessions. A copy of the roster is to be submitted to the HOA tennis chairman with the fee.
